BRYAN BISSON AND..WAIT...WHO THE HELL IS BRYAN BISSON?!?! YOU'LL KNOW NOW. ORIOLES GO TO 2-0

Orioles's Bryan Bisson put on a home run show for the crowd of over 46,000 at Pettengill Park Monday night when he went 2-3 with two moonshot home runs that hit the trees in right field, both record setting home runs, in a 14-2 rout of the Astros. "I hope Heath got a good deal on balls, because those two shots are not coming back" said umpire Bob Haskell, who last time he saw homers like that, it was during WWII when players were forced to use a rolled up ball of socks as a ball and hit with broomsticks. (Previous record belongs to Stubb "3-Fingers" McGee of the Mechanic Falls Brown Undies in 1938 where a sock ball travelled and estimated 16 feet). Bisson also collected 4 of the Orioles 14 RBI, matching that of course of Josh "I moved here from Florida but you'd think I was from Canada" Davis, who went a perfect 4-4 with a double and home run with 4 RBI. And who knew you could get an acutal inside-the-park home run at Pettengill that didn't involve a 400 lb outfielder not being able to get up after diving for a ball, and then the other three outfielders stepping on landminds?? Well, Tony Strout showed us that you can. I have no idea which area of the field the ball went, but somehow he was able to round the bases in under 3 seconds. A sonic boom was heard in surrounding towns and the Air Force said it must have been a weather balloon. Those three players however, had their time to shine taken away when Marcus Curtis hit a blooper over second base and second base...woman Jenn Conrad made the most incredible catch seen during the Draft League's existance. SS Nick Letourneau said, "I didn't know what to do, but I saw red in her eyes and I knew I should just get the hell out of the way." Putz Nate Michaud went the distance for the (2-0) Orioles as he hurled a complete game and surrendered only 2 runs.

For the Astros, offensively they were led by SS Tucker "Which way to the gun show?" Beaudoin went 3-3 on the day, getting on base for John "Joe Rogan" Brissette (2-3, RBI) and Jordan "Thanks for letting me go in the 7th round, im a 6th rounder all day" Carson (1-3, 2B, RBI). Next week, the Orioles will take on the Mariners (1-1) during the 8:15 game under the lights, while the Astros (0-2) will face the red hot Royals* (1-1)*.
