Auburn-
After suffering a heartbreaking loss of their B-player Ryan Conrad due to injury, the Dodgers called up the MiLS #1 prospect SS Ethan Woodman. Woodman went 0-2 to start, but got rid of the butterflies when it mattered the most, finishing 2-4.Trailing 8-1 in the top of the 5th, the inning got going fast when Chris "What jersey are we wearing tonight?" Therriault and Ethan "I know my profile pic looks like Dolph Lundgren but I will not break you" Woodman each got on with singles to set things up for pitcher Brian "At least I have Senior League" Harvey as he "Ummffff'ed" a 3-run bomb to right. This turned out to be the spark plug the Dodgers and Head Coach Nick "Mole from "The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad" Bissell were looking for. This led to RBI singles from Chris "I had a great night, would you be interested in coming over and seeing my Magic Card collection" O'Grady, Justin "I use forearm sleeves on my calves" Fortier, Jay "I'm glad I left the nursing home to play tonight" Reith, and Justin "I don't get why I am hitting 9th, I hit over .400 last year!" Dostie. In the 7th, Troy "Many people don't know I was the 6th Backstreet Boy, but they booted me for having two left feet" Frey hit a mammoth 3-run blast to go up 12-10.
For the Pirates, they were led offensively by CF Alex "I only have one more week on this team, so I'll give it my best" Biron (2-4, 2B, 2 RBI), Randall "Com 2 Lee end getcha kar cleend" Child (2-4, 2 2B, 2 RBI, 2 R), and David "Hobbit" Hobson (3-4, 2B, RBI, 2 R).
Next week, the Pirates (1-2) will face the (2-1) Phillies, as the Dodgers (1-2) will take on the Red Sox (1-2)
